DJ Heaven has become one of the top female
DJ's in the world today. She has a monthly residency in New York
at the famed Limelight.
Heaven discovered her love of clubs and house music whilst living
in Birmingham, U.K. As the music became an obsession she realised
she was buying many of the tracks she later heard rocking the
clubs she was going to. Those dance floors were at some of the
UK's most groundbreaking nights around. After polishing her turntable
skills, she secured her first residency at FUN-a high calibre
night in Birmingham.
After a very successful season in Ibiza, Heaven set her sights
to the top and decided to move to London, sending a tape to the
world famous Ministry of Sound. The Friday night promoter heard
it and promptly invited her to spin. The Ministry were taken back
not only by her ability to move the crowd with her flawless set
of energetic house but also with her driving enthusiasm which
equally shook the clubbers as she danced around behind the decks.
An offer of a residency soon followed, at Frisky?, the Ministry's
highly successful Friday night. As the main resident Heaven’s
career catapulted off in a new direction, which includes 2 front
covers of D.J magazine, one of five DJs tipped for the top in
Mixmag and DJ of the month in Muzik magazine.
Internationally, Heaven has since gone on to become the first
female DJ to perform in places such as the Philippines and Malaysia.
She has successfully completed sellout tours of Japan, Australia,
South America, Europe and has had a guest spot at Erik Morillo's
highly acclaimed Subliminal party in New York. Recently Heaven
has been invited to speak at the New Music West music convention
in Canada (alongside the legendary Lemmy from Motorhead!) and
DJ alongside RUN DMC. Also a performance in Brussels to 8000 sponsored
by M.T.V was broadcast throughout Europe. After three amazing
tours of Australia her first mix c.d. has sold over 20,000 copies
with follow-ups planned for the near future.
Back in the U.K, Heaven headlined two Ministry of Sound tours.
The Frisky? All girl tour sponsored by the cosmetic company Nol7
for which she mixed the accompanying C.D. She also appeared on
2000 posters and 50,000 flyers and not only the face but the headline
D.J for the masterclass tour. This involved visiting 10 of the
UK’s top Universities, during the day giving advice on mixing,
technical skills and life as a DJ to the young hopefuls and at
night DJing at 10 slamming sold out parties. Having also been
used for the advertising campaigns for Global eyewear and Hugo
Boss perfume and many appearances on T.V and radio including an
Essential mix broadcast live on national Radio One, Heaven is
very well established in the UK.
As Heavens reputation for rocking the crowd with her excellent
choice of tunes, fluent mixing skills and obvious enthusiasm spreads,
there is no other way to go but right to the top!
